Dragons Bond

Chapter 4

Searching

Flying was great! It wasn't often that you got to ride on the back of a red dragon towards a city

that looked as if it was torn right from the minds of the greatest fantasy artists. The city of

Seyroone was amazing. Even from two miles in the air it was a sight to behold.

Of course riding on the back of a dragon was an experience that most would kill for as well.

Ranma pointed to an area just outside the city.

"LAND RIGHT THERE CRIMSON!!" He shouted hoping that his voice would be heard over the

rushing wind.

Crimson, the large red dragon upon which Ranma was sitting on, nodded and dived down lower

to the ground where Ranma had indicated they should land. The dragon dived straight down and

stopped just before hitting to make a smooth and graceful landing. Ranma immediately jumped

down to the ground once Crimson had landed.

"Nice save there Crimson." Ranma said.

Crimson smiled at her fathers praise. She loved hearing any congratulations from him. Ranma

looked around their current surroundings. There was a couple of trees nearby and they were right

next to the large wall that surrounded the city.

"What do we do now, father?" Crimson asked.

Ranma shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I guess we should just rest here till tomorrow. We

can't go into the city while your still a dragon."

Crimson flopped down on the ground in a huff. In her current form the weight sounded out an

enormous crash.

*******

Over by the entrance of the city one seyroone guard looked up when the crash sounded out. "You

hear that?" He asked the other guard that stood by him.

"Shut up, were off duty in twenty minutes, I don't care."

*********

"I don't see why not!" Crimson said irritated. "Elves, dwarves, and even Orcs can go into the

cities and towns. Why can't I!" She said.

"It's cause your too big as a dragon. Everyone is afraid of dragons too so you'd probably start a

riot or something just being there. We're taking a risk just resting this close to the city." Crimson

nodded and let out a gust of smoke from her nostrils in frustration.

"I know! I just don't like it. Couldn't they just change the rules or something?" Ranma shook his

head as he got his sleeping gear out of his bag and got it ready.

"Crimson you've got to understand a lot of dragons destroy towns and cities just for fun. A lot of

these dragons that do this are red dragons. You’re one of a kind, but other people can easily jump

to conclusions."

Ranma lay down on top of the small blanket that he had lain out with a little pillow attached to the

top. "Listen, we'll get a good sleep then we can go into the city normally, find this Phil, guy that's

supposed to help us, then be on our way. You'll be able to turn human again soon any way."

Crimson smiled and set her head down on the grassy ground to get some sleep. Both travelers fell

asleep in no time.

****************

"Well Gourry, looks like we lost him." Lina Inverse said as she packed up her clothing and other

valuables into a small bag. She and Gourry were currently in an inn that they were going to stay

the night at. Lina, however, was determined to find this Ranma character, and his endless bag of

gold.

Gourry too was packing his stuff into a bag, though it was much larger than Lina's. "How could

he have just disappeared like that anyway Lina?" He asked the redheaded girl across the room.

The girl in question finished packing her stuff and casually tossed the bag to Gourry.

"Heads up Gourry!" She called out to the blonde swordsman. Gourry stumbled with the bag for a

second, having not expected the incoming projectile. Lina continued as she grabbed her cloak off

of the nearby bed and put it on. "I don't know how he could have skipped town so fast, but I'm

gonna find him, and that means that were camping out till we find him."

Gourry complained. "Aaaaw but Lina! Can't we just stay at the Inn for the night and look for him

in the morning? We just had dinner and I want to sleep." Lina glared at Gourry.

"Gourry This is really important! We need to find this guy quick. Besides, we've already got a

lead from that old lady who said she saw him headed for Seyroone. If we leave now we'll catch up

in no time." Gourry groaned.

"Ooooooohh! I hope your right?" With that said the two adventurers left the inn. In search of

Ranma Saotome.

****************

The morning was uneventful. He had slept well and it was a nice warm summer morning. Birds

where chirping nearby, the sky was clear of clouds and the sun shone brightly down on his face. A

light breeze flew by every once in a while and tossed his black hair enchantingly out of his grey

blue eyes. Ranma stood up and took in the atmosphere. He could hear the people beyond the

walls of the city as they went about their daily business. He remembered when he and his Pop

would travel and train in the art under weather just like this. Though the training was often

rigorous and sometimes painful, both physically and Mentally, Ranma always did like to

appreciate nature whenever possible.

He looked over at Crimson, his daughter. Many a people would question that fact, being that

Crimson was a Dragon and Ranma was human, but Ranma had grown to love her as a daughter,

friend and companion. He enjoyed her company and wasn't afraid to be himself around her. They

didn't have much in common physically, other than the ability to easily learn and understand

Magic and Martial Arts, but it was as if they had some sort of a bond. Ranma felt it as if he had,

had it ever since their first meeting.

Ranma smiled as he thought back on that fateful day as he was pulled from one reality and thrust

into another. He had feared that day. He was lost in a world that turned his views on reality

upside down. He had lost a family, THREE fiances, and yet...in the six months or so that he had

been here he had gained a whole new family. In the beginning all he had wanted was to get home

back to The Tendo's, Shampoo, and Ukyo. Now...he was afraid to lose his daughter and

grandfather Galnaav, who he though of as a father really.

He was filled with dread and excitement as he thought about what else would occur in this

strange, yet wonderful, new world. He had a sinking feeling that something bad was on the

horizon, but he wasn't as afraid as he was when he first arrived. Now, he looked forward to

finding out what was in store for him.

He heard a rustling and looked to his right as Crimson began to wake up. The red dragon, who

was about fifty feet from the tip of her head to the base of her tail, yawned as she awoke She

noticed Ranma fully awake and looking at her with a smile.

"What is it father?" She asked with a half yawn. Ranma just smiled more and looked back out at

the beautiful scenery before him.

"Oh it's nothing Crimson. I was just thinking."

Crimson got up and stretched. "About what?"

Ranma shrugged. "Nothing much. Family, nature, our quest, You." There was a pause as they

both stood there looking out at the horizon far off as the sun rose.

"Do you want to spar?" Crimson asked as she got into a crouching ready stance in the Dragon

style of Anything goes that Ranma had created. Her wings were extended to their full length and

she stood with her head held high and one gigantic claw extended.

Ranma shook his head and then began to pack up his belongings as he began his explanation. "We

can't. I'm sorry but it would be to loud and it would attract peoples attentions. If that were to

happen than we'd have a situation on our hands. We don't want to draw too much attention to

ourselves. It would be dangerous."

Crimson got out of the fighting stance and hung her head as she fell to a sitting position. "Yes

Papa-san." She said gloomily. Ranma stopped packing and he looked over to Crimson. He

faltered as the Red Dragon gave him the puppy dog eyes.

"Look Crimson, as soon as you've turned back into a human then we'll have a sparing match it'll

catch less attention."

Crimson smiled and bent her head down to Ranma's level. She gave him a lick on the face and

replied. "Thank you Papa-san." Ranma smiled as he wiped the small bit of Dragon saliva off of his

face and went back to packing. He just could not get mad at the girl no matter what she did.

**************

Some time later

Ranma and Crimson entered the City of Sayroone each had a smile upon their face as they had

just finished sparring with one another. Crimson's eyes were full of awe and excitement for she

had never been to a place so beautiful. The shops and houses of the great city surrounded a large

castle that towered over everything. She looked around at all of the stands that were displayed at

the edges of the streets. There were many different items of beauty and expense. Her eyes lit up as

she eyed a particular stand that was selling fine jewelry.

"Ooooh Pretty." She said as her eyes sparkled with greed. She wanted some of those pretty

things. With that in mind she formed a battle plan on how she would acquire those items. She

grabbed Ranma's hand and dragged him over to the stand. She continued to drag her father

around the shop as she picked up and examined every piece of jewelry. At last the brownish red

haired girl stopped as she eyed a certain set of jeweled bracelets. She hugged Ranma around the

waist while she pointed to the item.

"Can I get these Papa-san? Please PLEASE??" She said as she looked up at Ranma with big

sparkling puppy dog eyes.

"Wha?!...Huh?!" Ranma said as it all went too fast and he couldn't even see what the girl was

doing. "Well, Uhm, that is."

Crimson hugged tighter. "PLEEEEEAAAAAAASSSEE???" She asked. Ranma sighed and gave

up. He pulled out his endless bag of gold and opened it up.

"How much is it?" He asked the man behind the stand. The old man chuckled as he viewed the

scene with amusement through squinted eyes.

"These are very special bracelets for a very special lady. You can have them for a bargain. Two

gold pieces." The old man said as he held out a hand. Ranma nodded and handed the man the

money. The old man bit the two pieces of gold first before nodding and giving Ranma the

bracelets.

Crimson quickly grabbed the bracelets from Ranma and put them on her right arm. One bracelet

was gold with green and blue jewels surrounding it. The other was a metallic green and had red

and blue swirls of colour.

Crimson held out her arm, as she walked beside Ranma, admiring the bracelets. Ranma shook his

head. *Just like a girl.* He thought. Ranma took out the piece of paper from his shirt and

examined the name written on it. Not knowing how else he was to be able to find the man he

walked up to the nearest person to ask if they knew him.

"Excuse me?" Ranma said as he tapped a thin yet muscular man in front of him. The man turned

around.

"What is it?" He asked Ranma. The man was about Ranma's height, he had large slanted eyes and

pointy ears, his clothing consisted of brown and black leathers and various animal skins. Ranma

guessed that this man was an elf.

"Um have you ever heard of this man? I'm looking for him and I need his help." The man looked

at the paper that the boy held in front of him with the name written on it. He sniffed disdainfully

and turned to walk away.

"Boy, if you have nothing better to do than waste my time with pranks than begone with you."

Ranma stared dumbfounded after the man as he walked through the crowds away from him.

"Huh? Does that mean you've never heard of him?" He asked to himself. Crimson didn't comment

as she was still admiring her new jewelry.

Ranma grabbed her hand and pulled her off to the direction of the castle. "Come on Crimson

maybe some one in that castle knows who this guy is." Crimson followed but was to entranced by

the bracelets to actually listen to him. They made their way through the crowds towards the castle

occasionally stopping the odd passer bye to question them as to the whereabouts of the man.

Many laughed, some ignored and the odd few tried to ask him or Crimson on a date. Most of

those odd few were beaten up.

They arrived at the castle some time later. It was a long walk. Despite appearances, the castle was

much further away than they expected. Ranma walked up to the front gate and was about to push

the large doors open when two long halberds crossed in front of him effectively stopping him in

his tracks. There were two guards in Black armor from head to toe holding one halberd each.

"Halt!" Ordered the guard on the right. "You shall not enter without the proper permission!"

Ranma groaned. First no one in town would give him a straight answer now he had to deal with a

couple of guards with next to no fighting skill whatsoever. Ranma stepped back a few feet and the

guards uncrossed their halberds thinking that the pigtailed boy had given up. Instead Ranma

motioned to Crimson and the two of them then made two fantastic twenty foot leaps that allowed

them to easily clear the wall. The guards gawked with their jaws hanging down to their knees in

amazement. Both guards then called out an alert to nearby guards. Soon there was an alarm and

the court yard was soon full of guards.

Ranma and Crimson were surrounded. Ranma sighed. "Well I guess we're not going to be able to

find this guy without a fight after all." Crimson brightened up.

"Now we get to beat them up right?" Crimson asked with excitment. Ranma sweated a little and

nodded.

"Yeah, sure. Just make sure to stay out of your Dragon form...and go easy on them." Crimson

looked downcast at Ranma.

"AAAAWWW That's no fun!"

**************

Amelia Wil Tesla Seillune Was terribly bored today. Sometimes being a princess of one of the

most respected kingdoms wasn't always that glamorous. Her father Prince Phillip of Seillune was

currently listening to the Royal vizier as the old man droned on about some boring thing about

some other boring kingdom. She hated having to sit beside her father and listen to all these people

talk. It seemed like all they ever did was talk. They never did anything exciting.

Amelia sighed as she leaned her head on her fist and watched as the old man finally finished off

the last page of the large boring scroll that he was reading off to her and Prince Phil. The man left

the large throne room and exited the doors. Amelia groaned heavily and slumped in her seat as

another of her Father's people came in through the doors with a few scrolls and books. *Don't

they ever stop!?* She thought to her self. She looked up at her father who was actually seeming

to enjoy himself.

The raven haired Princess of Seyroone folded her arms and frowned as she tried to shut out the

droning of her father's people and think happy thoughts. *Smiting evil, fighting for justice, hot

bath, food.* Phil noticed that Amelia wasn't enjoying herself and decided to ask.

Prince Phil dismissed the scribe and the man left the room. Once the man was out of the doors he

turned to his daughter.

"Amelia? What's the matter? You look downcast."

Amelia sighed and stared at the floor while she twiddled her thumbs. "Oh Daddy. It's just that

those people are always talking about such dull things. I'm bored. There hasn't been anything fun

to do in ages. I just wish that something... anything would happen so that I'd have something to

do." Prince Phil chuckled. He was about to say something to comfort Amelia when the alarm

sounded off from a distance. Amelia perked up at the sound and at the explosions that turned

muffled through the thick castle walls. "AN INTRUDER!" Amelia yelled as she leapt to her feet.

"SOMEBODY HAS BROKEN INTO THE CASTLE!"

Prince Phil smiled as he watched Amelia get into a heroic stance. *Daddy's little girl.* He thought

with pride.

"I MUST DESTROY THIS EVIL! FOR JUSTICE I SHALL NOT LET THESE INTRUDERS

GET AWAY WITH THEIR UNJUST PLANS WHATEVER THEY MAY BE!" Amelia grabbed

the edge of her princess' dress and tore it from her body. Underneath was a simple off-white

uniform with red edges and a matching cape. {The one she always wears on Slayers}

Amelia then ran across the throne room and jumped out the window to the ground below using a

levitation spell to slow her decent so she wouldn't die from falling such a great height. As she

landed she gawked at the sight that was before her. Two people, a man with messy raven hair tied

back in a ponytail and a brownish red-haired girl, were beating up all of Seyroone's royal guards

with their bare hands. They were completely surrounded yet they were clearly the winning side.

Amelia watched in awe as the two fighters wove in and out of the battle like it was a dance. She

shook her self out of her daze and leapt towards the figures just as they had finished putting the

last of the guards to sleep.

"HALT VILLAINS!"

***********

Ranma and Crimson had just finished beating up all of the black clad, armed guards. Ranma

smiled, it had been a good workout. Not as good as a tussle with Ryoga or Mousse but good

none the less. Crimson was looking around eagerly for some more guards to beat up, but there

were none left. She frowned and walked over to Ranma.

"Papa-san! Let's go find that person and leave. I'm getting hungry." Ranma nodded and they were

about to continue onward to their final destination but they were stopped by a voice coming from

the shadows.

"HALT VILLAINS!" Ranma and Crimson looked over to where the voice came from and there

was a little girl probably about sixteen or so years old standing between them and the large doors

of the castle.

"Who's she?" Ranma asked to no one in particular. Crimson shrugged.

"STATE YOUR BUSINESS! IN THE NAME OF JUSTICE I SHALL NOT LET YOU PASS

WITHOUT GOOD REASON! THE HOUSE OF SEILLUNE SHALL NOT FALL TO... HEY!!

LISTEN TO ME!"

"Maybe she knows where this Seillune guy is Papa-san." Crimson said to Ranma.

Ranma looked thoughtful "If she knows who this guy is than our quest is as good as over."

Amelia ran over to Ranma and bopped him on the head.

"I'm trying to make a heroic speech before smiting you! Stop ignoring me!" Ranma shook his

head and looked at the raven haired girl with semi annoyed eyes.

"Excuse me miss? I'm looking for a Phillip Seillune. Do you know where we could find him?"

Amelia jumped back to where she was and continued her speech.

"HE IS MY FATHER AND I AM HIS DAUGHTER AMELIA WIL TESLA SEILLUNE! I

SHALL NOT LET YOU GET TO MY FATHER INSIDE THE CASTLE WITHOUT A FIGH...

HEY! DON'T WALK AWAY!!"

Ranma and Crimson walked past Amelia towards the large doors that lead to the inside of the

castle. Ranma assumed that the girl was all talk and not worth the fight. She had some Magical

abilities but they were hardly up to par with Ranma's own power. Besides he had to finish his

business with Phil by tomorrow before Crimson turned back into a dragon.

Amelia tried throwing a couple Elmekia Lances and Flare arrows at the pair as they casually

walked towards the large white blue and silver doors. But Ranma put up a shield that blocked all

of the girls assaults. Ranma casually opened the doors and walked into the castle with Crimson.

Amelia stared in shock as Ranma casually walked into the castle as he deflected her shots almost

unconsciously. Those were some of her best attack spells.

She cast Levitation again and flew up to the window she had previously jumped out of to warn

her father of the threat.

*************

Lina and Gourry finally entered the City of Seyroone. They had walked long, they had walked

hard, they had walked all night, most importantly they had worked up one hell of an appetite. The

only think that was on their minds at the moment was food and sleep. Gourry looked like a

walking skeleton, Lina just looked hungry.

"Jeeze! How could anyone possibly walk that entire distance in one night and not feel hungry?"

She said to herself grimly as she thought about Ranma, food, how the pigtailed boy could stand it,

and food.

"Fooooooooddd." Gourry said as he stumbled down the street beside Lina. He was like the living

dead. They had been in such a hurry to leave town and find Ranma that they had forgotten to

pack some provisions. They walked into a restaurant and walked to the front counter.

"Give us all the food you can!" Lina said with a hungry snarl. The man looked over to Gourry

who was swaying back and forth and making zombie-like moaning noises.

"You got it lady!" The guy said and her ran in the back to get the cooks to concentrate their

efforts on the starving couple. Lina and Gourry found a table and sat down. Gourry's head

impacted with the table and he began to snore. Lina patted her stomach to settle it as it had begun

to growl fiercely

*What's up with this Ranma guy?* She thought to her self. *He seems to disappear with hardly a

trace at all and no effort.* Lina continued to think about Ranma and his superb masculine looks

when a couple waitresses came to their table with large plates of food. The smell alone woke

Gourry up and he seemed to be perfectly normal as he sat up.

"ALL RIGHT! FOOD!" With that said Gourry and Lina began tearing into their food at a mad

pace. The waitress that had brought over the food had no other customers at the moment to serve

so she decided to strike up a conversation with the two travelers.

"Did you hear about the guards at the castle?" She asked Lina. Lina looked up at the short brown

haired girl with confusion and curiosity.

"No. Why? What happened at the castle?" Lina asked as she continued to shove food into her

mouth. The girls looked over at the door as a few more customers came in.

"Well it seems two travelers came into town this morning and they were trespassing inside the

castle." Lina stopped eating as she got a nagging suspicion that this had something to do with the

man they were looking for.

"Go on." She said as she turned around in her seat to face the girl.

"I have to tend to the other customers but they say that they were surrounded by almost two

hundred guards and the boy and the girl beat them all up with their bare hands. I gotta go." Lina

was sure that this was Ranma that the girl was talking about.

*But why would he want to storm the castle? He seemed like such a nice guy.* Lina frowned as

she thought of another guy that seemed really nice. Of course that purple haired moron turned out

to be a monster and tried to kill her on several occasions. "Well Gourry it looks like we found our

man." Lina said as she stood up. "Lets go."

"Huh!?! But Lina what about the food?" Gourry asked as he was dragged by Lina towards the

door.

"Forget it Gourry! This is more important!" With that the two began racing down the streets

towards the castle. The owner of the restaurant came running out after them, angry that they

didn't pay their bill, but he couldn't keep up.

************

Lina and Gourry got to the Castle soon after. It was a long way to the castle so Lina decided to

cast a diem wind underneath her and her companion. They shot up into the air towards the castle

at a high velocity. Gourry was desperately clinging to Lina's leg as they sped through the air

towards the castle like a cannon ball. Just as they passed over the castle Lina cast levitation to

slow down her descent and control where she would land. She landed amongst the large pile of

black armor clad guards. Most where unconscious but some where beginning to regain their

senses.

Lina walked over to one of the higher ranking guards who was conscious and grabbed him by his

uniform. "Hey you! Who did this to you? What did he look like!? Where'd he go!" She said as she

shook the guy back and forth. The guard lifted his hands up and grasped Lina's wrists she let go

and he dropped to his knees.

"He had Black hair and a pigtail. He wore red and the girl that was with him fought like a dragon

of some sort." Lina looked to Gourry and smiled.

"Looks like we found our man." Lina exclaimed.

Gourry nodded. "Right!" The two adventures raced towards the entrance of the castle. Lina and

Gourry came to an intersection that split into two separate directions. Lina looked both ways

trying to decide which one to take. Finally, she decided they should split up.

"Gourry! You go that way and I'll go this way. We'll have better chance of finding him if we split

up." The red haired sorcerous said as she indicated the directions with her index finger. Gourry

nodded and they split up. Gourry ran to the left corridor and Lina to the Right.

************

Amelia rushed through the window and into the throne room where her father sat waiting. Her

father was smiling and he had his arms extended for a hug. "Aaah Daughter. I take it every thing

was taken care of?" Amelia bowed her head in shame not wanted to face her father in defeat.

"I'm sorry daddy but he got past everyone and is inside the castle looking for you." Phil crossed

his arms and held his chin in a thoughtful posture.

"Hmmm I may have to deal with this intruder myself then." Amelia looked shocked and worried

for her father's safety.

"DADDY NO! This man is too powerful! He shrugged off my most powerful attacks as if they

were nothing at all!" Phil stood up and took a heroic {or at least what he thinks is heroic} pose.

"Do not worry daughter! Daddy will not let you down! JUSTICE ALWAYS PREVAILS AND

THIS INTRUDER WILL FALL NO MATTER WHAT!" Amelia looked up at her father with

stars in her eyes as she gazed in envy at her biggest role model.

"Oh Daddy! You’re so cool!" Little did either know that they were being watched and pittied.

"That is Phillip Seillune?" Ranma asked.

Phil and Amelia turned towards Ranma in surprise. He was leaning against the doorway to the

throne room and he was watching the two talk the entire time. He had decided to follow the girl.

He had caught on to her magical aura and was able to track her to the throne room.

Crimson looked to her father confused. "Why is he saying all those stupid things Papa-san? I don't

understand." Phil and Amelia both stomped on the floor and shouted at the two intruders.

"IT'S NOT STUPID!!" They both shouted in unison. Crimson and Ranma shrugged and began

to walk towards Phil and his daughter. Phil Immediately took a protective stance in front of

Amelia as he saw Ranma and Crimson advance.

"DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO ME BUT YOU WILL NEVER HARM MY

DAUGHTER!" He cried before launching an aerial attack towards Ranma. Ranma dodged out of

the way and Crimson followed. Phil's fist impacted with the floor of the throne room and made a

huge crater.

Ranma marveled at the large man's strength. *Woah! It looks like he's almost as strong as

Ryoga!* Ranma dodged out of the way again as Phil launched another flying fist attack.

"Jeez! How did Galnaav get to be friends with such a maniac!" Ranma said as he got into a

fighting stance readying himself for another attack from the large man. Phil stopped in his tracks

as he heard Ranma's words.

"G-G-Galnaav!?!" Phil asked as he turned towards Ranma in a non-threatening questioning

manner. Ranma nodded, not getting out of the stance but relaxing a little bit.

"Yeah he sent me to see you. Said you could help us out. I've been training under Galnaav for the

past six months." Phil dropped his guard completely. Amelia was surprised and confused. She

hadn't a clue as to what was going on.

Little did anyone in the throne room know that another person had been listening in on their

conversation. Lina had decided to go straight to the throne room after splitting up with Gourry.

She had just arrived on the scene when Ranma revealed that tiny bit of information that made Lina

rethink her plans of stealing the endless bag of gold from Ranma. She froze completely in place

when she had heard those words.

*GALNAAV!?!* She thought. *Galnaav was the most powerful sorcerer in the world. He

was said to be just a myth by most, a fairy tail! Yet this boy claimed to know Galnaav and to have

trained under him. How could this kid have found Galnaav!?!" Lina backed up and waited outside

the door to hear more before showing herself, maybe a little caution around him would be in

order..

*************

Later on...

"I see." Said Prince Phil. He, Ranma, Crimson, Amelia, Lina, and Gourry were sitting around a

round table in the castle library. "So you are in search of the six pieces of the map and you say

your daughter is a dragon?" Ranma nodded his head.

"Yeah that's about it. So...are you able to help me?" Prince Phil held his hand to his chin as he

thought about it.

*Well I do owe Gal a favor. Maybe this boy can fulfill Galnaav's promise!* Phil nodded and

smiled wide. "I'd be glad to help in any way I can! In fact I have one of those three Duragnamera

artifacts that you had mentioned earlier that may be of use. I've never had any use for it myself so

I just keep it in the treasury." Ranma looked confused.

"Uhm, what good would that do me? Crimson already has one." Phil laughed a great thundering

bellow.

"The more Duragnamera artifacts a dragon possesses the longer that dragon can stay in it's human

form. You only have one so it lasts one day and takes another day to recharge. With two on they

empower each other and is able to extend the change about three days while still only taking one

to recharge their magical properties. Did Galnaav not tell you this?"

Ranma shrugged. "I don't know. He might have but not in that much detail." Lina chose that

moment to cut in.

"Hold on a minute Ranma! Your saying that the whole reason your questing is to get a few

artifacts so that your daughter, who is a dragon, can stay human longer!?" Ranma shrugged again

as he leaned back in the chair that he was sitting upon.

"Yeah what's the big deal?"

"GREAT! Me and Gourry will join you!" Ranma did a double take on that.

"WHAT! Why!? What's in it for you? I barely know you." Lina smiled confidently as she sat back

at her chair and stroked a lock of red hair out of her face.

"Well I think me and Gourry owe you that much for you paying for our dinner."

Gourry looked confused as Lina appeared to have said his name. "Huh! We do? I thought we

were just looking for him so you could get, GURK!" The bumbling fool of a blonde swordsman

fell to the floor as Lina punched him in the face. Phil stood up from his chair in, what he felt was,

an authoritative posture.

"Amelia too shall accompany you Ranma Saotome!" Ranma looked to the tall shaggy ruler of

Seyroone a little miffed.

"WHAT!" Cried Amelia, beating Ranma to the punch. "Why do I have to accompany Him!?" She

then glared at Lina as she thought, *Not to mention Miss Lina always seems to get us into

trouble.* Phil began to explain.

"Because I owe Galnaav a favor and I feel that having my daughter accompany and help him on

his journey would be repayment enough." Amelia looked to the floor downcast. There was no

arguing with her father when he put his mind to something and she could see that determined look

in his eyes. *Soon, Sooon!* Phil though.

"Fine." Amelia said as she crossed her arms underneath her breasts. Phil's eyes lit up and he

picked up his daughter and danced around laughing with tears streaming down his face.

"Oh Amelia you make your father so proud!" He cried Amelia tried to calm him down but it was

no use. He soon put her down and walked back to the table calmly. "Ranma I ask that you and

your...er, daughter stay the night here. It's the least I can do. I'll get the headpiece and some food

together and then you could head out on your journey."

Ranma put up his hands to refuse. "No, No! I don't want to impose." *After all I've been

freeloading off of the Tendo's for quite some time. I’ve done more than enough of that.* Phil

grabbed the boy around the shoulders and began leading him down one of the large corridors to

where Ranma and Crimson, who was following behind, would be sleeping.

"Nonsense! I insist! I'm a ruler of a kingdom I think I can afford to put you up for one night! HA,

HA, HA!" Ranma tried to smile but found it difficult.

*************

The room that Ranma and Crimson were to be sleeping in was large, VERY large. It was big

enough that it could probably accommodate Crimson's Dragon form. There was two beds, one on

either side of the room. The beds were really large too. Ranma guessed that they were king sized.

Beside each of the huge beds was a large dresser full of clothes a lamp on either side and a door

that led to a personal lavatory.

"Wow!" Ranma proclaimed as he looked around the room. It was nicer than any room he had

ever stayed in. Even the Tendo's house was not as nice as this room. It had intricate Murals of

famous battles, none of which Ranma could identify, portraits of past rulers, and beautiful

windows of green and blue that made the room seem heavenly. He didn't notice Crimson creep

towards one of the beds. "This is a really nice place." He mused to himself.

"WATCH OUT PAPA-SAN!"

"HUH!?!"

WHUMP!!

Ranma didn't see Crimson grab a couple of pillows from the bed. Before he could heed the girls

warning he was hit by a pillow like a ton of bricks. Crimson's dragon-like strength made the blows

much more effective but Ranma was a trained martial artist and he used to spar with Ryoga

almost daily. It felt more like a baby's kick. Crimson did not stop her Barrage and began to

pummel Ranma with pillows repeatedly.

"WAI, WAI!!! she cried as she beat her father to the ground with feathery pillows. Feathers were

flying out of the pillows and floating gently to the floor all over the room.

Ranma managed to make his way to his own bed and grabbed a few pillows for him self he

blocked one of the dragon girl's pillow blows and swung back with his own catching her right in

the face. Crimson reeled from the blow and Ranma immediately regreted hitting her. The pigtailed

boy dropped the pillows he had and held out his arms to the girl.

"Aw Crimson I'm sorry! I didn't mean..."

WHUMP!!

"WAI, WAI!!"

Ranma and Crimson continued to battle with the pillows batting each other back and forth each

opponent steadily raising the strength of their attacks. Until each time they hit each other they

would be driven partway into the floor or knocked right across the room.

Neither noticed of course, But, someone did.

Lina was just getting ready to go sleep and dream about endless bags of gold and hunky pigtailed

men when she heard some racket in the room two doors down. At first she thought it was just

Gourry snoring in the next room but when she put a glass cup to the wall she could tell it wasn't

Gourry. She heard him but he was being drowned out by the racket in the other room that Ranma

and Crimson was in.

Lina's Curiosity got the best of her and she decided to investigate. The light that came through the

windows began to dim so Lina called out a light spell just in case it got too dark. She then left her

room headed for Ranma's.

She arrived outside Ranma's room and put her ear to the door to hear better. From what her ears

told her the two occupants in the room were having a war and laughing about it. She opened the

door a bit and peeked her head in to see what was the racket. Her eyes widened at the sight.

*A-A-A PILLOW FIGHT!?!* She thought with shock. To her eyes it looked like they were

trying to beat each other to death with heavy white maces. On second glance she could see that

they were using pillows. The pillows however were being swung with such skill, speed, and

strength that they could hardly be seen and they nearly knocked the victims of the assault through

the walls.

*I must get him to tell me his secrets!* she thought to herself as she began plotting what she

would do with that kind of power. *With that kind of strength I would be INVINCIBLE!*

Images of her ruling over a kingdom in royal purple robes flew bye her head the people in the

crowd were images of all the people she knew (Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers try)bowing before

her and wearing dirty peasant clothing.

Lina began to laugh maniacally as she thought of it she didn't notice it but Ranma and Crimson

did.

"Oh Hello Lina." Ranma said as he stopped his assault on his daughter and looked to the red

haired sorcerous. Who had stopped laughing and was now big-sweating. "What are you doing

here?" He asked.

Lina's right hand came up behind her head and she weakly laughed sheepishly. "Ah heh, heh, heh!

Well...Ah...I just wanted to come by and say good night and all. Well Bye!" With that Lina left the

room a blush spreading across her face like a bush fire. She held her hands to her cheeks as she

ran back to her room.

Back in the oversized bedroom Ranma and Crimson looked to each other and shrugged before

they went to the separate personal bathrooms to get ready for bed.

edited, saved, formatted, and published is. It’s taken me four hours just to get the first three

chapters done. Most of that time was spent trouble shooting. You better appreciate all the hard
